Your Right to Deletion
Under the GDPR and other data protection regulations, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. This page explains how to request account and data deletion for the Loftfolio platform.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account credentials and profile information
- All property listings associated with your account
- Tenant/applicant data submitted through your agency website
- Communication history within the platform
- Billing information (except as required by tax law — see below)
- Team member accounts and permissions
What Is Retained
The following data may be retained for legal and operational reasons:
- Billing records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax regulations (no payment card details are stored)
- Anonymized analytics: Usage data that has been permanently anonymized and cannot be linked to you
- Legal records: Any data required to comply with legal obligations
How to Request Deletion
There are two ways to request account deletion:
Option 1: Self-Service Deletion
Logged-in users can delete their account directly from the settings page:
- Log in to your Loftfolio account
- Navigate to Settings → Account
- Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section
- Click "Delete Account" and confirm
- Enter your password to verify your identity
Option 2: Email Request
If you cannot access your account, send a deletion request to hello@loftfolio.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Please include the following information in your email:
- Your full name
- Your account email address
- Your agency name
- Reason for deletion (optional)
Verification Process
To ensure security, we will verify your identity before processing a deletion request. This may involve sending a confirmation email to your registered address or asking additional questions to confirm you are the account owner.
Timeline
- Self-service deletion: Immediate (data removed within 24 hours)
- Email request: Processed within 30 days (under GDPR requirements)
- Full data removal: Completed within 30 days of confirmation
What Happens After Deletion
- Your agency website will be taken offline immediately
- All subdomain access will be disabled
- Team members will lose access to the account
- This action cannot be reversed. Please export any data you need before deleting
Exporting Your Data Before Deletion
Before requesting deletion, we recommend exporting your data:
- Go to Settings → Data Export
- Select the data you want to export (listings, applications, contacts)
- Download as CSV or JSON
Tenant/Applicant Data Deletion
